Cultures, along with identities, frequently struggle against new influences. This force may completely dominate and/or vanish in time, but in some cases, it will meld together with the old to create something new. Languages, countries, bloodlines and beliefs are in a constant wave of change and like identities, they may struggle to recognize themselves when facing the new.
