In The Between

Born and raised in Colombia, Daniela Ferreira is torn between distrusting her country of birth and mocking her country of residence. Lines between countries blur when raised in both, languages merge and identity is questioned. In this liminal space, she creates metaphors of this cultural struggle and the eternal desire to find home. Identically opposite of each other, the octopus and the tree stand as different worlds showing the ever moving foreigner and the long stable home.  Daniela Ferreira graduated with her BA in Studio Arts and a minor in Art History from Brigham Young University.
