LANDSCAPES

Belonging often invokes a sense of safety. The new however does not. In a multicultural sense, to feel a pull between worlds is as frequent as to feel a stranger in both. Adapting, whether it be learning to fit in or understanding how to safely stand out, never fully overcomes this sense of displacement, and as environments are in a wave of change, displacement comes often to the foreigner as well as to the native.
